ITGAM, also named as CD11B and CR3A, belongs to the integrin alpha chain family.
It is implicated in various adhesive interactions of monocytes, macrophages and granulocytes as well as in mediating the uptake of complement-coated particles.
ITGAM is identical with CR-3, the receptor for the iC3b fragment of the third complement component.
It probably recognizes the R-G-D peptide in C3b.
It is also a receptor for fibrinogen, factor X and ICAM1.
ITGAM recognizes P1 and P2 peptides of fibrinogen gamma chain.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
