DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 1 has a role in the establishment and regulation of tissue-specific patterns of methylated cytosine residues.
Aberrant methylation patterns are associated with certain human tumors and developmental abnormalities.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200Immunoprecipitation: 1:50-1:200Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: 1:20-1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
