ACPP is also named as PAP(prostatic acid phosphatase),5'-nucleotidase,thiamine monophosphatas and Belongs to the histidine acid phosphatase family.This enzyme is a homodimeric glycoprotein with a subunit molecular mass of 50kD and is an androgen- stimulated secretory product of the human prostate gland (PMID:8132635).
It is also a non-specific phosphatase and has been implicated in the progression of prostate cancer, which inactivates LPA in human seminal plasma (PMID:15280042).
This protein has three glycosylation sites (PMID:10639192;12525165).
This antibody is specific to ACPP.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
