CD80, also known as BB1/B7-1, is a 60kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors.
It is expressed on activated B cells, T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells.
It is a ligand of the two T cell costimulatory molecules, CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4).
The interaction of CD80 (or CD86) with CD28 provides a costimulatory signal for T cells activated through the CD3/TCR complex.
Applications: ELISA: To detect mB-71 by direct ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of at least 0.5ug/ml of this antibody is required.
This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant mB-71.
Western Blot: To detect mB-71 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml.
Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant mB-71 is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
