PTHR2, a Parathyroid Hormone Receptor, binds parathyroid hormone (PTH), parathyroid hormone-related peptide, and tuberoinfundibular peptide 39 (TIP39).
However, parathyroid hormone-related peptide does not activate the receptor.
The physiologic role of PTHR2 and its possible role in disease remained to be determined.
