MC5R, a Melanocortin Receptor, mediates the effects of melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH) and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), and activates adenylate cyclase.
This receptor controls multiple functions in the brain and in peripheral tissues, such as thermoregulation, immunomodulation, appetite control, and sexual behavior.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 7.6-8ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
