The Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor mGluR1 binds L-glutamate, the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, which activates both ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors.
Glutamatergic neurotransmission is involved in most aspects of normal brain function and can be perturbed in many neuropathologic conditions.
mGluR1 and mGluR5 are group I receptors that have been shown to activate phospholipase C.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
