G protein-coupled receptor 54 is a Metastin Receptor.
Metastin, also known as KiSS-1, is a metastasis suppressor gene.
Mutations in GPR54 have been shown to cause autosomal recessive idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism in humans and mice, suggesting that GPR54 is a key regulator for the onset of puberty (Seminara et al.
2003).
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3-5ug/ml Requires HIER using sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 prior to staining.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
