CRHR2, a Corticotropin-Releasing Factor Receptor is a neuroregulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis and plays an important role in coordinating the endocrine, autonomic, and behavioral responses to stress and immune challenge.
Mutations of the receptor reduce coping behaviors to stress and increase basal blood pressure.
Three isoforms of CRHR2 are produced by alternative splicing.
