The human AVPR2 locus encodes vasopressin receptor type 2, a member of the vasopressin/oxytocin family subfamily.
V2 receptor has been shown to concentrate the urine and maintain water homeostasis by responding to the pituitary hormone arginine vasopressin (AVP).
Loss of gene function results in the disease Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus (NDI).
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 26ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
