APJ or Apelin Receptor, is an angiotensin-1-like receptor that is expressed abundantly in the corpus callosum and spinal cord.
The human apelin receptor has been localized to chromosome 11.
In porcine spinal cord, APJ mRNA was detected at a higher level in white matter than in gray matter (Matsumoto et al., 1996).
APJ binds apelin, which induces cell acidification ( Tatemoto et al., 1998).
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
Not suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 4-7ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
