• APJ or Apelin Receptor, is an angiotensin-1-like receptor that is expressed abundantly in the corpus callosum and spinal cord.
• The human apelin receptor has been localized to chromosome 11.
• In porcine spinal cord, APJ mRNA was detected at a higher level in white matter than in gray matter (Matsumoto et al., 1996).
• APJ binds apelin, which induces cell acidification ( Tatemoto et al., 1998).
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 8ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
