FKBP8 (also known as FK506-binding protein 38) is a member of the immunophilin family that has been implicated to play an important role in apoptosis through its involvement in the mechanism that targets Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL to the outer mitochondrial membrane (OMM).
Suppression of endogenous FKBP8 by RNAi or transfection of a mutant FKBP8 missing the transmembrane domain necessary for mitochondrial insertion, resulted in the translocation of Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL from the OMM to the cytosol.
It has also been suggested that FKBP8 may play.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
