PTER is a mammalian homolog to bacterial phosphotriesterases, enzymes that hydrolyze phosphotriester-containing organophosphate pesticides.
It is expressed primarily in the proximal renal tubules and the gene has been localized in humans to chromosomal band 10p12 by in situ hybridization.
PTER, in addition to FTO, MC4R, and NPC1 has recently been shown to be a new risk loci for early-onset and morbid adult obesity in European populations.
At least two isoforms of PTER are known to exist.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1-2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
