Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase, receptor, type 2 , also known as BDNF/NT-3 growth factors receptor or TrkB receptor, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NTRK2 gene.
The TrkB receptor is part of the large family of receptor tyrosine kinases.
This gene is mapped to 9q21.33.
This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway.
Signalling through this kinase leads to cell differentiation.
Mutations in this gene have been associated with obesity and mood disorders.
Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Handling:Store at -20˚C for one year.
After reconstitution, store at 4˚C for one month.
Can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20˚C for long term.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
