Endostatin is a naturally occurring 20kD polypeptide derived from the C-terminal portion of type XVIII collagen.
It functions as an anti-angiogenic cytokine that is expressed in various organs with the highest levels in liver, lung and kidney.
Endostatin inhibits angiogenesis by blocking the pro-angiogenic activities of VEGF and FGF-basic.
Recombinant human Endostatin is a 20.2kD protein consisting 184aa residues.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml using 100ul/well antibody solution
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml.
The detection limit for recombinant human Endostatin is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions
Immunohistochemistry: 0.125-0.25ug/ml with an overnight incubation at 4°C stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of human breast invasive ductal carcinoma.
Heat induced antigen retrieval with a pH 6.0 sodium citrate buffer is recommended.
An alkaline phosphatase-labeled polymer detection system was used with a red chromogen.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
