TSPAN7 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family.
Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains.
The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility.
This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein and may have a role in the control of neurite outgrowth.
It is known to complex with integrins.
This gene is associated with X-linked mental retardation and neuropsychiatric diseases such as Huntington's chorea, fragile X syndrome and myotonic dystrophy.
Applications:Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot.
Other potential application, though not tested is Direct Flow Cytometry.

Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
