• CpG methylation is an epigenetic modification that is important for embryonic development, imprinting, and X-chromosome inactivation.
• Studies in mice have demonstrated that DNA methylation is required for mammalian development.
• Dnmt3b is a DNA methyltransferase which is thought to function in de novo methylation, rather than maintenance methylation.
• The protein localizes primarily to the nucleus and its expression is developmentally regulated.
• Mutations in this gene cause the immunodeficiency-centromeric instability-facial anomalies (ICF)syndrome.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and FLISA.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sectionsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
• DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
