Sulfate groups in carbohydrates confer highly specific functions on glycoproteins, glycolipids, and proteoglycans and are critical for cell-cell interaction, signal transduction, and embryonic development.
Sulfotransferases, such as CHST9, carry out sulfation of carbohydrates (Hiraoka et al., 2001 [PubMed 11445554]).

DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
