The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family.
This cytokine is a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27.
It is a surface antigen on activated, but not on resting, T and B lymphocytes.
It induces proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances the generation of cytolytic T cells, and contributes to T cell activation.
This cytokine is also reported to play a role in regulating B-cell activation, cytotoxic function of natural killer cells, and immunoglobulin sythesis.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded setionsptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
