• Serine/threonine protein involved in the signaling cascade converging to the activation of the transcription factor NF-kappa-B.
• May function as an IKK kinase, playing an essential role in the transcription of a subset of a TNF-alpha-induced genes.
• Also mediates production of RANTES/CCL5 and interferon-beta/IFNB1.
• Has a pivotal role in the innate immune response.
• Phosphorylates and activates IRF3 and IRF7 and allows their nuclear localization.
• This leads to production of alpha/beta interferons and the development of a cellular antiviral state.
• It also seems to be a central factor in the induction of the antiviral interferon response.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and FLISA.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
