PIAS4 functions as an E3-type small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor.
Plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coregulation in various cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53 pathway, the Wnt pathway and the steroid hormone signaling pathway.
Involved in gene silencing.
Promotes PARK7 sumoylation.
In Wnt signaling, represses LEF1 and enhances TCF4 transcriptional activities through promoting their sumoylations.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, FLISA
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
