• This gene encodes a member of the insulin family of polypeptide growth factors, which are involved in development and growth.
• It is an imprinted gene, expressed only from the paternal allele, and epigenetic changes at this locus are associated with Wilms tumor, Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, rhabdomyosarcoma, and Silver-Russell syndrome.
• A read-through INS-IGF2 gene exists, whose 5' region overlaps the INS gene and the 3' region overlaps this gene.
• Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry (Not Tested), and FLISA.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: Formalin fixed paraffin embedded
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
