GALNT5 can catalyze the initial reaction in O-linked oligosaccharide biosynthesis, the transfer of an N-acetyl-D-galactosamine residue to a serine or threonine residue on the protein receptor.
GALNT5 has activity toward EA2 peptide substrate, but it has a weak activity toward Muc2 or Muc1b substrates.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry (Not Tested).
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embeddedOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
