• ALDH6A1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenases family of proteins.
• This enzyme plays a role in the valine and pyrimidine catabolic pathways.
• This protein is a mitochondrial methylmalonate semialdehyde dehydrogenase, and catalyzes the irreversible oxidative decarboxylation of malonate and methylmalonate semialdehydes to acetyl- and propionyl-CoA.
• Methylmalonate semialdehyde dehydrogenase deficiency is characterized by elevated beta-alanine, 3-hydroxypropionic acid, and both isomers of 3-amino and 3-hydroxyisobutyric acids in urine organic acids.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:50-100Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
