This gene is a member of the BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kd-interacting protein (BNIP) family.
It interacts with the E1B 19 kDa protein which is responsible for the protection of virally-induced cell death, as well as E1B 19 kDa-like sequences of BCL2, also an apoptotic protector.
The protein encoded by this gene is a functional homolog of BNIP3, a proapoptotic protein.
This protein may function simultaneously with BNIP3 and may play a role in tumor suppression.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry (Not Tested) and ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry: Formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
