• NDUFS4 is an accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase(Complex I), or NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase, the first multi-subunit enzyme complex of the mitochondrial respiratory chain.
• Complex I plays a vital role in cellular ATP production, the primary source of energy for many crucial processes in living cells.
• It removes electrons from NADH and passes them by a series of different protein-coupled redox centers to the electron acceptor ubiquinone.
• In well-coupled mitochondria, the electron flux leads to ATP generation via the building of a proton gradient across the inner membrane.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:100-1:500Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
