• This gene is highly similar to the v-src gene of Rous sarcoma virus.
• This proto-oncogene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth.
• The protein encoded by this gene is a tyrosine-protein kinase whose activity can be inhibited by phosphorylation by c-SRC kinase.
• Mutations in this gene could be involved in the malignant progression of colon cancer.
• Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
• Transcript Variant: This variant (1) represents the longer transcript.
• Both isoforms 1 and 2 encode the same protein.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:100-1:500Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
