Glutathione S-transferase (GST) was originally cloned from parasite Schistosoma japonicum and it is now a widely used protein fusion partner.
Vectors containing GST Tag have been developed for both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems.
The GST fusion proteins are easily purified from cell lysates by affinity chromatography using Glutathione Sepharose 4B to elute out the GST fusion protein from the column with a denaturing form of glutathione.
Using the anti-GST antibody provides a simple solution to detect the expression of GST fusion proteins in cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
