ELOVL1 could be implicated in tissue-specific synthesis of very long chain fatty acids and sphingolipids.
May catalyze one or both of the reduction reaction in fatty acid elongation, i.e., conversion of beta-ketoacyl CoA to beta-hydroxyacyl CoA or reduction of trans-2-enoyl CoA to the saturated acyl CoA derivative (By similarity).

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
