PGK2 is a form of phosphoglycerate kinase unique to spermatozoa.
The autosomal PGK2 gene lacks introns and contains characteristics of a processed gene.
The conservation of function in this processed PGK2 gene and its tissue-specific expression in spermatogenesis suggests that it exists as a compensatory response to the inactivation of the X-linked PGK1 gene in spermatogenic cells before meiosis.
Applications:Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:FLISA: 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:100-1:500Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
