• GPI8 is a member of the cysteine protease family C13 that is involved in glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis.
• The GPI-anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells and serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface.
• This protein is a member of the multisubunit enzyme, GPI transamidase and is thought to be its enzymatic component.
• GPI transamidase mediates GPI anchoring in the endoplasmic reticulum, by catalyzing the transfer of fully assembled GPI units to proteins.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:100-1:500Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C.
• DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
