特徴
- Protein A is a 40-60kD MSCRAMM surface protein originally found in the cell wall of the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus.
- It is encoded by the spa gene and its regulation is controlled by DNA topology, cellular osmolarity, and a two-component system called ArlS-ArlR.
- It has found use in biochemical research because of its ability to bind immunoglobulins.
- It binds proteins from many of mammalian species, most notably IgGs.
- It binds with the Fc region of immunoglobulins through interaction with the heavy chain.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Immunofluorescence: 1:500-1:2500Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
