Ki67 antigen is the prototypic cell cycle related nuclear protein, expressed by proliferating cells in all phases of the active cell cycle (G1, S, G2 and M phase).
It is absent in resting (G0) cells.
Ki67 antibodies are useful in establishing the cell growing fraction in neoplasms.
In neoplastic tissues the prognostic value is comparable to the tritiated thymidine-labelling index.
The correlation between low Ki67 index and histologically low-grade tumors is strong.
Ki67 is routinely used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:20Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:20Immunocytochemistry: 1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
