Type V collagen is a member of group I collagen (fibrillar forming collagen).
It is a minor connective tissue component of nearly ubiquitous distribution.
Type V collagen binds to DNA, heparan sulfate, thrombospondin, heparin, and insulin.
Type V collagen is a key determinant in the assembly of tissue-specific matrices.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:20,000-1:100,000 Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
