CD155, also known as PVR and Necl-5, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that binds poliovirus as well as vitronectin, Nectin-3, and DNAM-1.
It exists as several isoforms with shortened C-terminal tails, including a soluble form that lacks the transmembrane segment.
CD155 is expressed in a variety of normal tissues and is upregulated in tumor cells of epithelial and neuronal origin.
