Sirtuin-6 is a NAD-dependent protein deacetylase with activity towards 'Lys-9' and 'Lys-56' of histone H3.
Modulates acetylation of histone H3 in telomeric chromatin during the S-phase of the cell cycle.
Required for genomic stability and for normal IGF1 serum levels and normal glucose homeostasis.
Modulates cellular senescence and apoptosis.
Regulates the production of TNF protein.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA (direct and indirect): 1:2000-1:5000Western Blot: 1:2000-1:5000 using ECL; suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST containing 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk; suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperatureOptimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
