Listeria monocytogenes is a intracellular bacterium that is the causative agent of Listeriosis.
It is one of the most virulent foodborne pathogens.
Listeria species are known to secrete a 60kD protein collectively termed p60, which is encoded by the "iap" (invasion-associated-protein) gene and secreted in large quantites into the growth media.
p60 is a highly immunogenic murein hydrolase that is essential for cell division.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA (direct and indirect): 1:5000-1:10,000Western Blot: 1:2000-1:10,000 using ECL.
Suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST containing 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk.
Suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperature
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
