FGF-21 stimulates glucose uptake in differentiated adipocytes via the induction of glucose transporter SLC2A1/GLUT1 expression (but not SLC2A4/GLUT4 expression).
Activity requires the presence of bKlotho.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA (direct and indirect): 1:2000-1:5000Western Blot: 1:2000-1:5000 using ECL; suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST containing 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk; suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperatureImmunohistochemistry (paraffin sections): 1:2000-1:5000Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
