CTRP9 belongs to a highly conserved family of adiponectin paralogs.
It activates AMPK, AKT and p44/42 MAPK signaling pathways.
Expressed predominantly in adipose tissue.
Females express higher levels than males.
Overexpression of CTRP9 in obese (ob/ob) mice significantly lowered serum glucose levels.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA (direct and indirect): 1:2000-1:5000Western Blot: 1:2000-1:5000 using ECL; suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST containing 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk; suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperatureOptimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
