- Katanin-like 1 (KL1) is a mitotic regulator that is very closely related to katanin.
- KL1 is thought to be involved in microtubule severing because increased expression of KL1 leads to total disassembly of microtubules.
- KL1 is seen to localize to the spindle poles during mitosis, not to the centrosome.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
