- Serum albumin, the main protein of plasma, has a good binding capacity for water, Ca(2+), Na(+), K(+), fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs.
- Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood.
- Major zinc transporter in plasma, typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
- Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
- HRP conjugates are sensitive to light.
