PAX6 is paired box gene 6, one of many human homologs of the Drosophila melanogaster gene prd.
In addition to the hallmark feature of this gene family, a conserved paired box domain, the encoded protein also contains a homeo box domain.
Both domains are known to bind DNA, and function as regulators of gene transcription.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:32,000Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml, observed in mouse eye lysates on ~50kD bandsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
