- LAX1 (Linker for activation of X cells) is a 70kD member of a small group of T cell transmembrane (TM) adaptor proteins.
- It is upregulated on both T and B cells after activation, and likely downmodulates both BCR and TCR signaling.
- Human LAX1 is 398aa in length.
- Although its predicted MW is 44kD, it runs anomalously at 70kD in SDS-PAGE.
- It is a type III (no signal sequence) TM protein that contains a 37aa N-terminal extracellular region and a 340aa cytoplasmic domain (aa59-398).
- There are two potential isoform variants.
- One has an alternate start site at Met77, while a second shows a 13aa substitution for aa1-29.
- Over aa136-398, human LAX1 is 47% aa identical to mouse LAX1.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:32,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
