RNA-binding protein that plays a role in intracellular RNA transport and in the regulation of translation of target mRNAs.
Associated with polysomes.
May play a role in the transport of mRNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.
Binds strongly to poly(G), binds moderately to poly(U) but shows very little binding to poly(A) or poly(C).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:ELISA (Peptide): 1:128,000Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml, observed bands in lysates of cell line KELLY at ~80kDOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
