RNA-binding protein that plays a role in intracellular RNA transport and in the regulation of translation of target mRNAs.
Associated with polysomes.
May play a role in the transport of mRNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm.
Binds strongly to poly(G), binds moderately to poly(U) but shows very little binding to poly(A) or poly(C).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:32,000Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml, observed in lysates of cell lines HeLa, Jurkat and Kelly on ~70kD bandsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
