a-b-Crystalline is a lens protein, which has some homology with the small heat shock proteins.
It is expressed in tissues such as skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, smooth muscle, renal tubular epithelium, Schwanncells, glial cells, thyroid epithelium, colonic epithelium and stratified squamous epithelium.
This antibody may be useful in the identification of Lewy body dementia.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:128,000Western Blot: 0.01-0.03ug/ml, observed in human skeletal muscle and mouse eye lysates on ~18-19kD bandsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
