Colony-stimulating factor 1(CSF-1) is required for the growth, differentiation and survival of cells of the monocyte/macrophage lineage.
CSF-1 binds specific receptor CSF1R, the product of the c-fms gene, leading to receptor dimerization and phosphorylation on tyrosine residue.
CSF-1R has been demonstrated as the major regulator of macrophage development as well as great involvement in epithelial cancers, including carcinogenesis of breast, ovary and prostate.
CSF- 1R is a tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor and is one of the members of the CSF1/PDGF receptor family of tyrosine-protein kinases.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:32,000Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, transfected HEK293 transiently expressing full-length Human CSF1R (myc and DYKDDDDK tagged) observed on ~200kD bandsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
