Isoform Bim-alpha1, isoform Bim-alpha2 and isoform Bim-alpha3 induce apoptosis, although less potent than isoform BimEL, isoform BimL and isoform BimS.
Isoform Bim-gamma induces apoptosis.
Isoform Bim-alpha3 induces apoptosis possibly through a caspase-mediated pathway.
Isoform BimAC and isoform BimABC lack the ability to induce apoptosis.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Peptide ELISA: 1:16,000Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml, observed in K562 lysates on ~23kD bandsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
