This gene encodes a protein which is associated with adenosine triphosphatases (ATPases).
Proton-translocating ATPases have fundamental roles in energy conservation, secondary active transport, acidification of intracellular compartments, and cellular pH homeostasis.
There are three classes of ATPases- F, P, and V.
The vacuolar (V-type) ATPases have a transmembrane proton-conducting sector and an extramembrane catalytic sector.
The encoded protein has been found associated with the transmembrane sector of the V-type ATPases.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:16,000Western Blot: 0.25-1ug/ml, observed in human kidney lysates on ~37kD bandsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
